RVCamping Breakfast Recipes

Apple Cinnamon French Toast

Start your day watching the sunrise and enjoying apple cinnamon french toast. It truly doesn’t get much better than that when RV Camping!

This breakfast recipe has an appetizing twist on a simple recipe.

The ingredients you will need for this recipe are a loaf of bread, eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, apple pie spice, and butter.

Take three eggs and beat them in a bowl so they are easy to dip the bread in. Then you will mix in one cup of milk, one teaspoon of cinnamon, a pinch of apple pie spice, and two teaspoons of sugar.

Heat a slice of butter in a cast iron pan and wait for it to sizzle. Dip the toast in the egg mixture for ten seconds as you coat it entirely. Then put it in the hot pan. You will cook it for four minutes per side or until it becomes crispy.

Get clever with your toppings! Try to find seasonal berries for local farmer’s markets before covering the French Toast in savory maple syrup.

You can cook this breakfast recipe for RV camping on your RV Stove or on a campfire.

RV Camping Lunch Recipes

Cowboy Tacos

Who said you can’t celebrate Taco Tuesday in an RV? Fortunately, you can with our Cowboy Tacos recipe.

Purchase ground beef, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, taco sauce, cheddar cheese, and taco shells. Optional add-ons would be avocado and sour cream for toppings.

All you have to do for this simple recipe is brown the ground beef until it is fully cooked, about 15 minutes. While the beef is cooking, slice the tomatoes and prepare the shells. Put a layer of taco sauce on the bottom and then add the ground beef. Pile on the tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and shredded cheddar cheese.

Enjoy as many as you want for your camping lunch! You can cook the ground beef in a pan over a campfire or in the comfort of your RV on the stove.

Hawaiian Gourmet Hot Dogs

Get the fire going as you prepare your Gourmet Hot Dogs. The hot dogs taste best slowly roasted over a campfire. Just continue to turn them every few minutes until they are crispy on every side.

The shopping list for this recipe is easy. Pick up hot dogs, brioche buns, a red onion, crushed pineapple, and sriracha.

As the hot dogs are slowly roasting, heat a small pan for the toppings. First, chop and cook the red onion with some oil. As it begins to brown, pour in the crushed pineapple until it warms.

Put the hot dog in the brioche bun and top with the onion and pineapple mixture. Lastly, squeeze some sriracha on top for an added kick.

This is one of our favorite and easy RV camping recipes!

Just be prepared for the whole family to wake up to the smell of warm cinnamon and freshly brewed coffee.

RV Camping Dinner Recipes

Chicken Fajita Foil Pack Dinner

Listening to the sound of sizzling fajitas gets our appetite going! That is precisely why we added Chicken Fajitas to our recipe list.

One of the biggest perks of this recipe is the minimal cleanup you will have to do.

All you need for this recipe is aluminum foil, boneless chicken breasts, olive oil, a packet of Fajita seasoning mix, peppers, white onion, and a can of black beans.

Alright, now that you have all your ingredients you will lay out 4 sheets of aluminum foil. Or as many as you need to feed the whole crew.

Slice the peppers and onion so they are ready to go. Mix the chicken, black beans peppers, and onion into a bowl with the olive oil. Toss them together until they are all coated evenly. Then add in the fajita seasoning last.

Spoon the mixture onto the foil packets evenly. Then fold the foil from each end until it forms a packet.

Throw these right on top of the campfire grate and let them sizzle for 12-15 minutes. You can also cook them on a grill pan inside the RV. Make sure to check that the chicken is fully cooked before devouring.

You can serve these on tortillas, or as a simple chicken fajita bowl. Top with sour cream and a squeeze of lime for added flavor.

This meal is commonly rated one of the most delicious camping recipes for RVers!

Vegan Sloppy Joes

If you are Vegan and still want to enjoy a camping recipe for RVs, you can! Try our recipe for Vegan Sloppy Joes, which are made with lentils.

You will need a can of lentils, olive oil, one white onion, one red pepper, garlic powder, one teaspoon of sugar, one 15-ounce can of tomato sauce, two teaspoons of vegan Worcestershire sauce, two teaspoons of chili powder, one teaspoon of ground cumin, a shake of smoked paprika and hamburger buns.

Drain the can of lentils so the liquid is gone. Then mince the onion and red pepper until it is in very small pieces.

Heat a pan with oil and add the onions and peppers until browned. Then add tomato sauce, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, ground cumin, and smoked paprika. Cook for about 10 minutes so all of the flavors can combine.

Finally, add in the lentils until they are heated and mixed with the sauce. Spoon the mixture onto hamburger buns and enjoy!

If you are looking for a non-vegan version of this recipe you can use ground beef. You can also use classic sloppy joe mix from a can if you are short on time. It will be delicious either way!

This meal is also amazing to use as a vegetarian camping recipe for RVs too!

RV Camping Dessert Recipes

Bacon S’mores

S’mores are a classic and honestly, a camping trip is not complete without devouring one, or five. While you could most definitely take the standard route, we got a little bit creative.

You need graham crackers, marshmallows, two big strips of bacon, and dark chocolate squares for this recipe. If you can find salty dark chocolate that would enhance the flavor even more.

Slice the bacon into small pieces and cook on a cast iron pan. Then toast the marshmallows over the fire as you normally would. Prepare the graham crackers and a square of chocolate on each one. Put the diced bacon on top of the chocolate.

Once the marshmallow is ready, push into the bacon and chocolate with on the graham cracker so the marshmallow melts the chocolate

Walla! Your Bacon S’mores will be ready to enjoy. This dessert recipe for camping in an RV is one of our favorites to enjoy under the stars.
