Driftwood Estate Winery and Vineyard embodies the spirit and heart of Texas. Driftwood radiates Texas pride in its production of high quality wines made from 100% Texas grapes. Driftwood Estate Winery sits on a bluff overlooking our Estate Vineyard and the Hill Country from which visitors can enjoy our award winning wines. The view from the bluff is spectacular, and the grounds are perfect for relaxing with your favorite glass or bottle of Driftwood Estate wine.
The Vineyard was established in 1998 by Gary Elliott. It was the first commercial vineyard in Hays County. The Driftwood Estate Winery and Vineyard is a Veteran owned and Family run business for the past 25 years. The Vineyard has 18 acres of grape vines and the Winery produces 10,000 cases of wine each year. In addition to the grapes grown in our Estate Vineyard we purchase additional grapes from the Texas High Plains Appellation, mostly from Newsom Vineyards.

This classic Australian blend is coloured vivid red with purple hues and has flavours of vanilla, coffee, and chocolate, which linger through the palate.
We are waiting to meet you and for your convenience we open Wednesday through Saturday from 11am.. Plus enjoy a grazing board with either a glass or bottle of wine on the verandah as well.

Hand picking of exceptional Pinot Gris fruit from our Wilyabrup vineyard and prompt pressing of the greyish-blue, light coloured grapes has resulted in a batch of beautiful amber must.
Now, it's up to our winemaking duo to use their knowledge and skills to create a beautiful wine for the future. Wonder what it might be? Only time will tell....

先輩が住むオースティンに行ってきました✨初テキサス州💕
１週間前の最高気温はマイナス1℃で、前日は26℃。
当日は7℃という、驚きの温度差。
フライト時間✈️3時間半、ベイエリアとの時差2時間と、アメリカの広さを感じならが道路を走ると、見える景色や木の違いに驚くばかり…。
観光場所等、全てをアレンジして頂き、広～いお庭にプール付きのお屋敷🏡
大きな可愛いワンちゃんとの生活。夢のような3日間でした 🥰

...and so it begins - Vintage 2024 has kicked off at Driftwood. A small yet experienced team of 10 arrived around 6am to commence #handpicking our Chardonnay grapes.
In the lead up to December, spring provided terrific growing conditions, and the warmer weather (or should I say hot?!) in January has resulted in an earlier harvest than that of 2023.
Pressing in the winery progressed most of Tuesday under the watchful gaze and hands-on activity of both our winemakers Kane "the Chief" and Tom. Stay posted for further updates over the coming weeks on our 2024 vintage journey!
